John A. Henschke, EdD, is Emeritus Professor and former Chair of the Andragogy Doctoral Emphasis Specialty, Lindenwood University [LU], St. Charles, MO. He was on the faculty of the University of Missouri for 39 years [as Continuing Education Specialist with University of Missouri Extension; and, as Associate Professor of Adult Education/Andragogy with University of Missouri at St. Louis] until 2009; and, on the faculty at LU for seven [7] years [as Professor and Chair of the Andragogy Doctoral Emphasis Specialty] until his retirement on 12/31/16. He chaired 61 completed doctoral dissertations and served as committee member to 55 others that were completed at nine different universities. John developed the 45 item/seven factor Modified Instructional Perspectives Inventory (MIPI) – with the strongest factor being “teacher trust of learners” – validated it three times for Cronbach Alpha reliability, and it has been successfully used in 36 completed doctoral dissertations at nine different Universities.
